Day 182

"Today, return to childhood."

I'm back in my hometown for the longest I've been in a year, and tonight I get to hang out with some of my really good friends that I haven't seen in a very long time. In my book, that counts pretty well towards returning to childhood."

Day 181

"Today, write to your county asking that your street be renamed after you. To make sure your application is successful, explain why the current name is no good, give details of your main achievements, and enclose a petition signed by your neighbors."

I live on the main road, which is also a state route, so there is very little chance that they'll be naming it after me any time soon. Maybe once I'm big and famous I can try getting my own road.

Day 180

"Spend the day pretending to be a tourist."

I didn't spend the WHOLE day being all touristy, but I did manage to get into one of the tour groups that our school always has. It was pretty funny because all the tour guides are students and I'm pretty sure my guide knew that I was also a student. She didn't say anything and neither did I, so I guess it all worked out ok.

Day 179: Measure your Temperature Day

"Body temperature is a crucial indicator of well-being. There fore it is important to monitor it on an hourly basis, using this chart. Body temperature is 98 degrees Fahrenheit on average, but, contrary to popular myth, it varies between 93 and 104 degrees throughout the day, depending on outside influences."

My temperature stayed right around 98.6 all day, as per usual. It did however jump up to about 100 during and for a good period after my workout today. I suppose that's to be expected though.

Day 178

"Go through a Phase"

One of the suggested phases in The Book was a productive phase, so I figured that would probably be the easiest route to go since I had class all day. I managed to get all of my homework and readings done before I went to my first class, and in my second class I helped lead a discussion to figure out details for our final class project and we actually got quite a bit figured out. Being productive feels pretty good.

Day 177

"Try seducing someone way out of your league. Most people's idea of what's attractive is imprinted on the brain when they're still in diapers. Staring up at Mommy, Daddy, or Uncle Barnaby, we develop attachments to particular features that bear little relation to social norms of beauty. That's why supermodels sometimes end up going out with prime candidates for cosmetic surgery. Today, try you luck with somebody much more conventionally attractive than yourself. You never know..."

Not only did I not actually see anybody worth hitting on today (this school is like Chewbacca's yearbook), but I also don't think my girlfriend would appreciate that very much. I've never had any luck at talking to women anyway, so it's probably better off that I didn't.

Day 176: Free Pet Day!

"Put up a lost dog ad and see whether one turns up"
Since I know one would never actually turn up, I decided to put down my friends name and number. Just in case something does come up, it's sure to be extra funny.
