Day 126: Exercise your full rights as a Consumer

"You are legally entitled to buy a lot of a prepackaged material bu the unit. Buy one beer out of a six-pack. Buy two cookies out of a packet of 20. Buy five pistachios, a dollop of face cream, or one sock and experiment with the shopkeepers knowledge of the law."

Oddly enough, consumers rights are pretty well outlined. Nobody would let me buy a single item out of a package. Well played, shopkeep, well played.

Day 125

"For once, take your horoscope seriously."

If you're feeling low on energy right now, get out and surround yourself with people. Spending time in large groups will enliven your spirit today. Whether you're the center of attention or one of a million faces in a crowd, simply being surrounded by all that diverse energy will give you a jolt of enthusiasm. This is the perfect day for going to a large sporting event, an arena rock concert or even a business convention.

Well, I'm definitely feeling pretty low on energy after the Avengers premier last night, totally worth it though. But I'm heading home today, so I should be provided with enough external energy to make it through the day. I've actually always found that horoscopes are more or less accurate. I know the they're intentionally vague so that people can see what they want in them, but mine do manage to fit pretty nicely most of the time.

Day 124

"Today, buy a parrot and train it to say some unpalatable truth that you cannot voice yourself in society."

There was no way I was going to buy a parrot for a single day. Surprisingly though, there aren't even any pet stores around here where I could visit a parrot and teach it to say something. Oh well. Instead, enjoy the above video of a parrot swearing.

Day 123

"Today, learn an emergency First Aid procedure"

Today, I decided to re-learn a skill I knew a while ago and I've actually had to use once before, the Heimlich maneuver.
FYI: I've always found the first aid test dummies outstandingly creepy.

Day 122: No TV Weekend

"The Publishers of The Book have arranged a deal with news organizations and world leaders whereby nothing of real importance will happen this weekend, so you can feel at ease giving your remote a break."

Again, today was pretty easy to go without TV. I had more classes and homework to work on, so that took up a majority of my time. I also got to go outside and just relax with a book for a bit, and that's always quite nice. Last night I noticed that I actually slept better than I normally do with the TV on. I may have to try that more often...

Day 121: No TV Weekend

"The Publishers of The Book have arranged a deal with news organizations and world leaders whereby nothing of real importance will happen this weekend, so you can feel at ease giving your remote a break."

Today, really wasn't so bad. I had class most of the day, and I spent the rest of the time playing Pokemon. I had of other things to do without TV. I normally sleep with the TV on though, so that may take some getting used to. But overall, I think I'll  be fine.

Day 120

"Don't spend any money Today."

Given my current financial situation, this was incredibly easy. The past few days I've had to spend money that I didn't really have, but there was a bunch of free things going on today so I was pretty well-off.
