Thanks to Telegramstop.com, I was actually about to send a real-deal telegram for fairly cheap. Once it arrives to the recipient, I'll get a good photo to upload.
"Find an inchoate emotion within you and name it."
I can't really think of a good name for it, but whatever the feeling that I get when I smell manure after being gone from Vermont for a while, that's definitely the feeling. I can't really explain it, but every time that I come home from school, there's always this one point after I cross the state line when I can start smelling manure and I know that for most people that would be really gross, but it just gives me this really strong feeling of being at home and I really enjoy it.
"Today, test the butterfly effect: chase a butterfly away from its flight pattern to disrupt meteorological systems worldwide. The butterfly effect explained: The butterfly effect dramatically illustrates chaos theory. The idea is that very small impossible-to-measure initial changes in complex systems can have huge effects. Thus to quote Edward Lorenz, "the flap of a butterfly's wings in Brazil can set off a tornado in Texas."
I didn't think I was going to be able to do this one, seeing as how there really aren't many butterflies around here normally. But on my way to my car, I actually saw a butterfly sitting on a rock and decided to shoo it away. I haven't seen any major changes so far, but I guess we'll have to wait for any major weather catastrophes.
"Stare at this stranger. Memorize her features. Should you ever meet her, call her Aubrey and she will tell you a secret."
The Book includes a picture of someone who would be best described as looking like a female version of Michael Ian Black. I doubt I'll ever run into her, but I don't think I'd mistake her.
Today we flew back out of California and I got a chance while waiting for the flight to read the local paper. Since we we're in San Francisco, there was quite a large ad section with help wanted's and personal's and all sort of crazy things. I had never seen a paper with an ad section that big before.
"Christmas is traditionally very stressful, but it doesn't have to be that way! Deal with your gift shopping at a different time of year, and you'll be able to approach the Xmas season in total serenity."
I can't afford to actually buy all of my presents for the year right now, but I at least have everything down that I want to get and I know how much it will all cost so now all I have to do is get the money for it all.
"Sauna's are good for you, so today turn your heating up to the max and indulge in some heavy sweating!"
Today was my first day of a short trip to California (woo!), and the hotel that I'm staying at actually had special guest passes from a spa center just a few blocks away. I took this great opportunity to relax a bit and get myself all ready for a great trip to come.
